Couples Therapy – Strengthen Your Relationship with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship? As a trained EFT therapist, I offer couples therapy and relationship counselling to help partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and deepen emotional and sexual intimacy. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a proven and evidence-based approach, I provide a safe space where both partners feel heard, supported, and understood.
How Couples Therapy Can Help
Couple counselling can transform the way you and your partner connect by:
- Improving communication and conflict resolution
- Identifying shared values and interests
- Strengthening emotional and sexual intimacy
- Building resilience through secure attachment bonds
- Learning to accept and respect differences
Many couples move from relationship distress to a healthier, more loving connection through this process.
My Approach to Couples Therapy
As a couples therapist, I start with a joint session to understand your relationship dynamics. This is often followed by one-to-one sessions with each partner based on need, before continuing with joint therapy sessions. My goal is to create a transparent and safe environment, where both partners feel respected and empowered to share their needs.
Why Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)?
EFT couples therapy is one of the most effective approaches to relationship counselling. Rooted in attachment theory and emotional science, EFT helps couples:
- Recognize negative interaction patterns
- Express emotional needs openly
- Respond to one another with empathy
- Rebuild trust, safety, and intimacy
EFT has also been adapted for individuals (EFIT) and families (EFFT), making it a versatile and research-backed approach.
